There's a bunch of new stuff tomorrow. New series, new season of DB, and probably some Bardock promos. I'll have them online tomorrow night 'round 9pm or something.

Vote on the current Toonami Infolink poll on how you would like new multi-language files handled in the future.
I personally like #1 because it uses less bandwidth and you have to download less, but make YOUR voice heard...by clicking a button.

"I have a bunch of higher quality openings to add, and I'd very much like to do dual-langauge files if possible.
I can do them much like the Tenchi Muyo OVA Series 2 file, which is a .zip archive that includes one copy of the video, and a separate audio track for each language. Which ever language file you choose will just add the video on top of the chosen audio track.

...or, I can make them totally separate files much like Tenchi Universe (although that example doesn't work. Doing that will DOUBLE the download time if you want to see both versions, but you don't need to unzip them (not really that inconvenient).

Choose wisely. Either unzip more, or download more. I'm voting for the former.

"No video updates today, but here's a ProTip from your friendly Windows-tolerant friends at TDA:
QuickTime Player for Windows usually sucks. A lot.
Media Player Classic for Windows plays all DirectShow (AVI) and QuickTime files, as well as MPEG-2 and other crazy formats.
It still requires QuickTime itself to be installed, but it's a much more friendly interface for those familiar with WMP, and it brings all of the goodness of QuickTime but with none of the cruft of QuickTime Player
The official site is down, so the link takes you to some other page out on the vast interweb.

Toonami Gets Set for Immortal Grand Prix September 15-19Week-Long Total Immersion Event Integrates Cartoon Network and CartoonNetwork.comOn Monday, September 15, Cartoon Network delivers its latest ""total immersion event"" - Toonami: Immortal Grand Prix (IGPX). Airing daily September 15-19 during Toonami (5-7 p.m.), Cartoon Network's action-adventure programming block, IGPX will feature a new 5-minute episode each day. Produced by Cartoon Network and Production IG, the well-known Japanese production studio that created Ghost in the Shell the story of the 12th Immortal Grand Prix concludes on Friday, September 19. Throughout the week, Toonami fans will be able to go online to watch episodes and play the new IGPX game, which incorporates characters from the on-air story.

It is the year 2035. Team Suzaku and Team Sledge Mamma are preparing to meet in the final round of the 12th Immortal Grand Prix (IGPX). Takeshi leads Team Suzaku, which is made-up of a group of young amateur pilots who must make the most of their limited funds and weaponry in order to prepare for the competition designed for professionals. Team Sledge Mamma consists of three professional, cybernetic opponents who are known to be merciless and have remained undefeated throughout this year's competition.

Each IGPX battle matches two teams with 3 Mechs, high tech fighting machines. Utilizing any form of weaponry within the regulated weight limit, the pilots of these fighting machines must defeat all of the Mechs belonging to the opposition. The pilots are protected from injury during battle in a Hide Shell. Once a Mech is significantly damaged during competition, the Hide Shell is ejected. After achieving 12 victories in previous rounds, two teams advance to the championship competition.

Cartoon Network.com will unveil an all-new IGPX game to coincide with the on-air event. Sponsored by PlayStation: Jak II, IGPX is a tactical fighting game that places fans in the driver's seat of a team of three IGPX mobile fighters. After successfully defeating one of the IGPX teams, registrants will receive either a Team Suzaku or Team Sledge Mamma Orbit cRing.

Throughout September and October, Cartoon Network will premiere new episodes and series during Toonami. On Monday, September 1, SD Gundam will premiere at 5 p.m. (ET, PT), followed by new episodes of Dragon Ball at 5:30 p.m. (ET, PT). Every Friday at 6 p.m. (ET, PT) for four consecutive weeks beginning September 5, Cartoon Network will present Dragonball Z movies that have never been seen before on U.S. television. Another new series, Dragonball GT will air Fridays at 6:30 p.m. (ET, PT), beginning October 3.

The Fall Outlook- Version 1 Posted Thursday, August 7, 2003, 1:14PM by KnuxFive
"Toonami's got a bunch of stuff coming down the pike. To recap it, we're doing this mini-special news post.

Click ""Read More"" to see this fall's forecast.

SD Gundam Force-
Formerly titled ""Superior Defender"", this American-made Gundam series premieres September 1st at 5.0 PM. The action figures and model kits are already available; check your local stores.

Cyborg 009-
Season 1 is being reaired as we speak, but expect CN to acquire Season 2 for sometime LATE this year or early next.

Dragonball Z-
With Season 3 currently airing, the only new stuff from the Z Saga to air comes in the form of Inflight Movies. Bardock: The Father of Goku kicks off the returning movie slot, followed by The History of Trunks, Cooler's Revenge, and The Return of Cooler. Lord Slug may air in October.

Justice League-
After airing Twilight, the Season 2 premiere in August, the League will go back to the beginning before being kicked off in September.

Dragonball-
Season 3 premieres Monday, September 1st at 6.5. These will probably be the final episodes of Goku as a child.

Yu-Yu Hakusho-
Seasons 1 and 2 will reair until being taken off in September. Season 3 might premiere in winter.

Immortal Grand Prix-
This series of shorts will premiere sometime on Toonami, sometime in the fall.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars-
In November, these will reair at 5.0.

IGPX Joins Toonami This Fall Posted Monday, August 4, 2003, 10:15PM by Meteo
"Through what is probably the earliest promotion of any of the block's shows, Toonami informed viewers with a promo today that Immortal Grand Prix (IGPX) will air this fall. Nothing else is known about the series thus far except that it looks like an anime series. From the promo it appears to involve people in their late teens and older some of whom are in robotic suits (probably people sized, not Gundam sized) and an angry pink cat.

Considering that Toonami does not usually promo new shows more that two weeks in advance we might be able to assume this will air in September, however the promo did specificly state Fall instead of a month. My best guess is that they just do not have a specific premiere date locked down yet.

"Cartoon Network has the force, it does.

We all know that Star Wars: The Clone Wars shorts are coming to Cartoon Network, with them airing at 5.0 on Toonami (Well... iin it's time-slot) for a while. Lucasarts might be in talks with Cartoon Network for a continuing series. Nobody knows where it could fit in, as the next movie should be the final in the series. Clone Wars fits in between Episodes 2 and 3... maybe a TV series would fit in between 3 and 4.

"Some reason, I just wanted to sound a little izz-ish.

I think we probably touched on this before, but it's worth rementioning. Battle of the Planets, based off the same story that Toonami's own G-Force was, has a box set coming out on September 9th. The first 12th episodes are reworked with commentary, while also being remastered and other special features. The regular set is $59.95, while with Jason figured included is $69.95.
