I should be doing digital circuits, but ehh" Posted Tuesday, October 30, 2001, 10:32PM by Zogg
"This is a minor update to re-add a ""lost"" file to the Fan Creations section. (ie, the file used to be there, but got lost in the shuffle.) Sproth's ""Love out of the Blue"" video is now back up for download. Enjoy.

It's 5 because we want it to be. Posted Monday, October 29, 2001, 12:31AM by TylerL
"If you take a look in the New Downloads section, you'll find a new thing Zogg and I came up with - ""Newest Downloads"".
It's basically the last 5 files added to our databases so you can see what's new a whole lot quicker than browsing through the directories. (It's kind of screwed up right now with old ReBoot stuff showing up. That's my fault for stupidly screwing up the SQL database again. It'll be fixed in a new file or two.)
There's a hell of a lot more we're doing to the Downloads section once it's complete. Don't make any suggestions just yet. Chances are we probably already thought of it. :)

You disgust me Posted Sunday, October 28, 2001, 8:43PM by Pepito
"The latest dose of patented Pepito Reality has now been transmitted to the Rants section of this puny server. I have once again chosen to grace you with bits and pieces of my superior intellect by answering questions that you, the ignoramuses, have sent in. Now then, if you will excuse me, I need to wash this horrid human smell off of my case.

I'm happy I'm part of that 8% Posted Friday, October 26, 2001, 5:28PM by TylerL
Third episode promo now online.

Midterms are evil. Posted Thursday, October 25, 2001, 11:36PM by TylerL
"Thanks to MDawg, we have very nice DVD rips of the Trigun opening and the Japanese Buu saga opening of DBZ!
I also added newer, better quality openings of the other two Japanese openings (one I messed with to create a no credit version!) as well as the third FUNimation DBZ opening!
I also fixed the titles to all the new download sections to work with our new downloads layout (the main downloads page will get a facelift sometime later.)
I'll also try to do some maintenance and additions to ToonamiRadio later this week or so.
...AND, I added two more Aluminum Studios videos, specifically ""Dreams of Red"" and ""Venus in a Bottle"" to the Fan Creations seciton, thus completing the ""Sailor Series"" he did.
...and you thought we were slacking off while working frantically on our midterms...
Update from Tyler 10 minutes later: The next billing month for our server will start in a day or so. We'll need some of your disposable income (approx. $106 worth) to keep TDA online for yet another month of video goodness.
Update from Tyler 5 minutes later: ...I've just been informed that we only need $5 for the coming month. Cool.
Well...We'll need $106 for December...
Update from Zogg 5 minutes later: The donate-o-meter seems to be having issues with negative numbers, I should look into that. Give me 20 minutes.
Update from Zogg 10 minutes later: Oops, the problem was caused by me coding in a check for negative numbers. (Apparently I didn't have much faith when I wrote that code.) Anyway, its fixed, and now becomes the ""Overflow O Meter"" if/when we've got more than needed for a month. Woohoo! Thanks everybody!

Oops Posted Tuesday, October 23, 2001, 11:49AM by Zogg
"I've managed to get behind in my email and lose all of my ""I need to reply to this email"" flags in my inbox. So, if you've sent me an email and were expecting a reply, please resend it with ""REPEAT: [Your Subject]"" as the subject line and I'll get back to you.

For those viewers out there who missed Reboot: Season 3, and have NO IDEA what's going on..." Posted Saturday, October 20, 2001, 12:33PM by TylerL
"I've re-added the musical number at the end of the 3rd season of ReBoot.
This time it's a very high quality DVD rip which'll let you see a few more of the hidden jokes and other things.
If you only watched ReBoot back when it was on ABC, then this is a must-download.

It's not every day you have a supervillian with a French accent... Posted Friday, October 19, 2001, 5:39PM by TylerL
The second ReBoot promo (For episode 1) as well as the Toonami intro are now online in the New Downloads section.
More updates and files (the rest of the ReBoot ones) throughout the day.
Update from Tyler 10 minutes later: Grr...Something's really wrong with my connection. Uploading's taking a LOT longer than it should. It'll be over an hour before I can get other stuff. Sorry about that.
Update from Tyler 45 minutes later: Ok...All the new Daemon's Rising stuff is now online. I'll start work on the old stuff now.
Update from Tyler an hour later: Ugh...where's Zogg when you need him?
All the old ReBoot clips have been added to the new database. Enjoy.

1...2... 1 2 3 4. Posted Friday, October 19, 2001, 12:13AM by TylerL
"Thanks to FunkMasterFan Alan Z., we have two old Sailor Moon promos! ""Lost Episode"" and the original Sailor Moon promo on Toonami.
I have a feeling that Downloads page will look much less boring sometime soon...
Update from Zogg 5 minutes later: I want to see that bathroom cleaned and garbage taken out while you're at it! (Translation: I'm going on a Navigators retreat this weekend and won't be around, so Tyler is in charge of everything until I get back late Sunday night.)
Update from Tyler 2 minutes later: Aww...but I just took out the garbage! Besides...it's Pepito's turn to clean the bathrooms!
Update from Pepito 3 minutes later: What the hell are you talking about? I don't create any waste product! Why am I, Emperor of the Earth, being told to clean the bathroom?!?
Update from Zogg 1 minute later: Just wait till he realizes no one has cleaned it in 4 months. Bwahaha

You can stop emailing me now Posted Thursday, October 18, 2001, 4:58PM by Zogg
"Tyler was able to aquire a suprerb quality copy of the Zoids intro, which I recompressed. (Tyler's computer didn't like the file for some reason.) You can now find in the almost Toonami section. That means you can stop sending links/files about Zoids or containing the Zoids intro in that horrible RealPlayer format. Enjoy

Check out that debt-o-meter! Posted Wednesday, October 17, 2001, 2:17PM by Zogg
"Thanks to the loyal contributions of various TDA fans, we're now out of the hole! What exactly does this mean? Well, I've now been totally reimbursed for the setup fee, (making me happy) this month's bill had been paid (making everyone happy) and next month's debt-o-meter will simply be the server bill from that month without any carry over! Woohoo!
Who would have thought everyone could pull this off?
Update from Tyler about an hour later: Wow. We're avoiding the collapse of all free websites with little compromise. We're bigger, faster, interactive...er, and just plain better-er...and banner free ^_^
Keep up the donations. We have more bills to pay, and more Toonami stuff to offer to everyone.

Better than POGs or those little wrist-snap things. Posted Wednesday, October 17, 2001, 2:22AM by TylerL
"Thanks to Latin singing sensation (or maybe just TDA fan) Alan Z., we have THREE more Old School Moltar promos.
Teaching, Teamwork and Reruns.
Go NOW. These are rare gems from a time long past.

Take THAT, Scooby!" Posted Monday, October 15, 2001, 10:44PM by TylerL
"Two hours of Scooby Doo will be replaced permanently with two hours of new DBZ episodes every Saturday starting in just a few more days.
These ""Super Saturdays"" will be the first time Toonami's been on during the weekend since Rising Sun a while back. Enjoy the new promo in the DBZ section.

Out with the new, in with the old." Posted Monday, October 15, 2001, 6:01PM by TylerL
"Thanks to TDA Fan of Justice Alan Z., we now have Moltar's old heroes promo!
Go download it!

A truely universal site. Posted Monday, October 15, 2001, 12:41AM by TylerL
"If you're coming here from the great Planet of Namek, welcome. Feel free to browse around (The new opening's in the New Downloads section) and take the time to accept the fact that Pepito is your ruler and that you are his slave.
We've also noticed an increase of visitors from Japan, too.
In fact, two people from Japan downloaded an entire GIGABYTE of files from us (a little over a third of everything we have).
Now, excuse my most-likely poorly worded, broken Japanese when I say...

Boot up again. Posted Sunday, October 14, 2001, 2:33PM by TylerL
"I was able to grab a copy of the new ReBoot promo today.
Since we haven't finished the new ReBoot section in the database, I'm just putting the promo here for now.
Update from Tyler a few hours later: Thanks to ‹berfan Alan Z., we now have Moltar's speech about modern women in the Old School section of Toonami Downloads.
While you're there, take a look at the legendary ""Failed Experiment"" video clip if you haven't yet.

Eva Eva Eva! Posted Saturday, October 13, 2001, 10:41PM by Zogg
"I added the Evangelion intro to the new almost toonami section. You may remember it being there at one time, but it was lost in transitions. Anyway, its back now. Enjoy.
Update from Zogg 2 hours later: In addition, the DBZ section has been moved to the new database system.
Update from Tyler a few minutes later: Wow. Four news posts in a single day. That's a record, isn't it?

New version! Posted Saturday, October 13, 2001, 6:51PM by Zogg
"This probably doesn't mean a whole lot to most of you, but I just upgrade our Admin Center of Righteousness to version 1.5.1. (What was the old version? I have no idea, I just started keeping track.) I've updated the interface, made the source easier to read, (I should comment my code...) and added a few new features for Tyler and I to play with. All we have to do now is finish inputting all of our old files... ugh.

The misguided hope sampler! Posted Saturday, October 13, 2001, 5:00PM by TylerL
"I've moved the Almost Toonami section to the new database.
...and, of course, I added some new stuff!
Go take a look!
BTW...if you come across a broken link in the Old Downloads section, chances are the clip is now located in the New Downloads section. We don't want to edit pages that will be gone in a few weeks anyway.

Oops Posted Saturday, October 13, 2001, 4:24AM by Zogg
"Just a quick update to tell you that I re-added the Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross intro to the Robotech section once again. It was one of those files that disapeared in the ""incremental"" backups from FNet. Anyway, its back now. Enjoy.

Woo! Posted Friday, October 12, 2001, 2:33AM by Zogg
"Thanks to Alan Z. (loyal TDA fan, Pepito minion, and MB poster) and his old tapes and capture card, we now have 1 new promo and 1 better quality promo. If you go over to the Toonami section of the new downloads, you'll find that there's a new subtopic: Old School. Be sure to check out Toonami: Failed Experiment and the Thursday theme. Those of you who have been with Toonami for a while will remember them; you newbies (ie, after 1998) will enjoy the blast from the past. (Its kind of like watching those old commercials on TVLand, only cooler.) Enjoy the files courtesy of Alan.
That's all for now. (I need cooler catch phrases.)

Hmm...he might come in handy after all... Posted Tuesday, October 9, 2001, 2:56PM by TylerL
"I added TOM's Lockdown ""Thanks"" promo to the Lockdown feature.
...and it seems like the crazed maniac was right...but totally wrong at the same time.
I've gotten word from a few people that a new DBZ opening aired during TMR yesterday. Well, I'll get it next time it's on...probably during the regular run and I hope to have it online 'round 6:20 today.
Update by Tyler at 5:59 - No new opening this afternoon. I'll see if it's on tonight. ...and I might have some new stuff tonight (or not).
Update by Tyler a little after midnight - New DBZ opening in the DBZ Downloads section. New stuff to come some time later.

It took them a week, but it's finally here." Posted Monday, October 8, 2001, 7:00PM by TylerL
"The Toonami intro to Batman Beyond aired for the first time today.
It's in the Batman Beyond section, of course.
I've heard word from a crazed maniac that there was a new DBZ promo today, but I haven't had the chance to look back at the tape.

The Bat is Back Posted Thursday, October 4, 2001, 8:13PM by Zogg
"There was a longer promo for Batman Beyond right after Toonami today, and we grabbed it. You can check it out over in the Batman Beyond section. Don't forget to check out the Fan Creations while you're at it. (Speaking of, I have a file to add this week. Hmmm, maybe I can get to that tomarrow.)

By fans for fans from fans. Posted Thursday, October 4, 2001, 7:46PM by TylerL
"Well, I spent my afternoon putting together the Fan Creations in our new database and can now be accessed from the New Downloads section.
...Not one to let a new section created without new content, I added three new videos!
Hmm...it seems like all our old high-quality MPEG files have returned. Strange.

While you guys are at it...can one of you buy me the Ranma DVD box set? ^_^ Posted Wednesday, October 3, 2001, 5:24PM by TylerL
"A HUGE thanks to Samuel D. Amesfor getting us the PS2 Toonami promo!
It's sitting in the Toonami Downloads section where it belongs.
Also, for all of you reporting the Advanced Robotics spot, we've had it for weeks now. It's also in the Toonami section.
Update from Zogg Tyler had a typo up in the subject. What he meant to say is ""While you guys are at it...can one of you buy Zogg the Ranma DVD box set? ^_^""
Update from Tyler - Hey, I WAS gonna let you borrow my copy, not not anymore >:(

Don't have one, don't need one, but Dynasty Warriors 2 is pretty cool." Posted Tuesday, October 2, 2001, 12:21PM by TylerL
"We've heard from many people that there is a new Toonami promo on a Playstation Magazine demo disc.
Neither of us have a PS2 or subscribe to PS Magazine (naturally), so if any of you happen to have this disc and some time and an undying love for TDA, we'd REALLY appreciate if somebody could capture/rip that promo for us.
Here's a link that might help the ripping process. I'll see if I can find any others.

New show, new promos." Posted Monday, October 1, 2001, 5:20PM by TylerL
I added a short Batman Beyond promo. The Toonami opening will be online 'round 6:50.
Update by Tyler later - ...or maybe not. Didn't seem to be a Toonami BB opening today. They might not have one at all.

Data entry's not in my job description! Posted Monday, October 1, 2001, 2:21PM by TylerL
I finally finished moving all the of the clips in the Newest Downloads section (y'know...the one that wasn't updated since we got the new server back in July) to the new database. Now there's only one more section to move over...and it might be a while...
