"Tyler1, plz i wana no when i can post 2 yr MB. i turned 13 yestrday and i want 2 post. is teh TDA comp fixed yet?
Slightly more intelligent question: When and where will the new message board be up?

Over there:

...well, it's not expressed, or written, but it's all done for a good purpose." Posted Wednesday, October 30, 2002, 9:27PM by TylerL
"Ladies, gentlemen, Pepito, I have an announcement to make.
theshredder recently uncovered an old tape with some very interesting Toonami footage from Spring of 1997.

Now, I have reason to believe (confirmed by someone who would know) that one of the clips is the first Toonami opening EVER.
It's in the Old Toonami section along with a HodgePodge of bumpers from Spring 1997.

...also, there are two Voltron promos from 1997 that were sent as well.

The Old School's in session.
Look for more '97-'98 clips in the coming weeks.

The blue bar on the forum is fixed. Quit 'yer whining.

When will people learn to log in before they submit a news story?!?!? Posted Tuesday, October 29, 2002, 10:35PM by TylerL

...but if I jump into the river, then the only one alive would be Richard Simmons." Posted Monday, October 28, 2002, 10:31AM by TylerL
"A couple of tidbits n' nifty things:

1: The Toonami Japan site has some sweet exclusive wallpaper images available to download here: http://www.cartoonnetwork.co.jp/toonami/accessory.asp

2: Toonami USA has web-exclusive DBZ promos in their ""watch"" section: http://www.CartoonNetwork.com/toonami/watch/index.html

3: Vote for CowboyPepito.

First post.

"Ok...all files from this week have been added.
All brand new ones are in bold, all lost files that have returned since the crash are not.

DBZ Long Season 6 Promo
DBZ Revenge of Cooler DTV Movie Promo
DB Short Season 3 Promo
DBZ Short Season 6 Promo
Super Mario Sunshine Game Review
DBZ Garlic Jr. Fridays Promo

Happy leeching.

...also, go see why TDA and Tyler n' Zogg have Real Ultimate Power here.

"The DBZ section is (mostly) back online, including last week's New DB/DBZ promo.
Also, the Toonami Game Reviews sections is back, including last week's Beach Spikers promo. Mario Sunshine will show up on Monday or something.
Cool. Maybe I'll be able to work on the big projects sooner than I thought...

There are times when you say ""Well, time to pick up the pieces and rebuild that wall."", then there are times when you say ""**** it. That wall sucked anyway. I'm moving."", and then there are times when you say ""Y'know, I barely spent any time on that wall anyway. It won't take long to rebuild."", ...and then there times when they say ""...What the hell are you talking about?!?""" Posted Saturday, October 19, 2002, 11:36PM by TylerL
"The He-Man and Transformers sections have been rebuilt.
The Trapped in Hyperspace Feature is also back in working order.
DBZ, Game Reviews, and Toonami Movies will show up some other time when I'm not at work(s) or school or tired.

This whole ""rebuild"" stuff sucks.
Zogg and I had two major projects we were working on before the ""crash"" of sorts. It really set those plans back a bit.
We're going to make a sister-site tailor-made for the Toonami community, and there's going to be a contest of sorts too.
...but until things on TDA get back to normal, work on those won't restart.

...and TDAMB regulars, get used to phpNuke-style boards. It'll be the new TDAMB really soon now...

We only wanted a 5 page outline, not a 29 page disposition..." Posted Friday, October 18, 2002, 2:42AM by Zogg
"Well, the money has pulled through as it always seems to. Thanks to all of you for keeping us going!

Sorry about the lack of updates or restoration, but school/work have Tyler and I both nailed to the wall at the moment. Hopefully soon...

I'll be leaving town again this weekend, pray for no more server malfunctions.

I can see my house from here.

"After some DNS mixups, we're back online. Sorry about that. This is definately the month of excitement.
-Tyler promises updates later.
-I re-enabled file downloads. Have fun.
-A new message board and other surprises along with it are in the works.
-Hopefully we'll get everything back up.
-Yes, I know the Trapped in Hyperspace feature is dead.
-I have too many exams to update.
-The donate-o-meter is correct. (Which is boding poorly.)

Update from Tyler 3 hours later: Hoo boy... Yeah. We need some donations quick like bunny. The $31 restore on top of the standard $100/month fee. Complete reformats aren't fun, believe me. Believe Zogg more.
Trapped in Hyperspace is in the process of reuploadification.
It should be done by 11pm eastern time. Yay.
Download, you'll be merry.
Donate, we'll be merry.
Update from Zogg after 1 Bible study and 1 Battleship Block Diagram for a VHDL/ASIC design later (or 5 hours later): Yep, reformats aren't fun. Luckily our host did the reformat work and supplied most of the security patches. From there, I just had to load lots of software, upload 2 gigs of files, (at 600k/s... thanks to ingenuity) rewrite some config files, and redo my backup script. Let's hope that doesn't happen again.

Uhh Posted Saturday, October 12, 2002, 1:09PM by Zogg
Weird things are happening visitor wise right now... so I've disabled downloads for the moment. I'm still trying to figure out why we put out 46 gigs of data yesterday...

Wait...How'd you get it to turn on?!? / ""...I pushed the Power button."" / ""oh.""" Posted Wednesday, October 9, 2002, 10:00PM by TylerL
"I've made a temporary forum for all the regulars to assemble n' stuff.
The future form of the message board will probably change, so don't get too attached to this one.
Update from Zogg 14 hours later: I had to close it while I debug some serverside load issues. Sorry.

I might not know what a flipometer is, but I want a 10 on it!" Posted Tuesday, October 8, 2002, 6:22PM by Zogg
"Ok, we're restored to September 2nd.
Yes, files are missing. Lots of them.
Yes, Tyler is working on it.
He'll ask if he needs help figuring out what needs to be added, please don't flood us with ""You used to have this file but don't now"" unless Tyler specifically asks everyone to do so.

Updates Updates Updates Posted Tuesday, October 8, 2002, 3:22PM by Zogg
"Bad news: For reasons unknown to me, my last backup of the site is 1 month old. (This means lots of work for Tyler.)
More Bad news: My last database backup is 2 months old. (This means lots more work for Tyler.)
Good news: I should have almost all the files onto the server by the end of the day (woohoo for ingenuity!), so we'll sort something out.
Update by Tyler 2 hours later: Sigh.

"You may be wanting to ask me any one or more of the following questions:
1) Zogg, where was TDA all weekend?
2) Zogg, where is the navigation bar?
3) Zogg, where is the message board?
4) Zogg, where are ALL THE FILES?!?!?!

These answers will come soon enough. Here's the jist:
We're currently experiencing severe technical difficulties in the form of a server failure. I'm restoring things as I can, but for now we've at least got this much up. The server itself is restored to a usable state, and Tyler and I will will focus on getting everything back online as soon as we can. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy the show.

Or something.
